Julia is a writer, researcher, and aspiring historian. Julia graduated from Yale in 2019 with a BA in history, and recently earned her MPhil in history from Cambridge. Born and raised in Mexico City, and having lived in Los Angeles and Toronto, Julia is interested in migration and border studies, political economy, and comparative literature. Outside of the classroom, Julia has worked as a museum guide, running environmental education programs, and mentoring non-native English speakers at New Haven high schools. Julia also works as a research assistant at the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies at UC San Diego. An avid reader, Julia enjoys sharing her love of language and literature with enthusiastic students looking to hone their writing skills.
